Scientific Assessment of the Effects of Global Warming on the United States

This report examines the findings of the U.S. Climate Change Science Program and draws from previous scientific assessments.

It was released as a result of a court order which found the Bush administration violated U.S. law by failing to produce a study on the impact of global warming.

The report analyzes the effects of global climate change on natural and human environments, agriculture, water, social systems, energy, transportation, and health.

It analyzes current trends and projects major trends for the future. The report addresses the requirements of the Global Change Research Act of 1990. See also Fact Sheet [pdf].
